IEEE International Black Sea Conference on Communications and Networking
4-7 June 2018 – Batumi, Georgia

Special Session on Future Wi-Fi

In spite of its 30-year history, Wi-Fi is continuously evolving being today the most used wireless technology for Internet access. Recently the fifth generation of the Wi-Fi standard – namely, IEEE 802.11-2016 – was published. It includes advanced techniques for multigigabit communications, more flexible QoS provisioning, power management, etc. Currently, IEEE 802.11 Working Group is focus on further improvements of this technology focusing on the most promising solutions.

The aim of the session is to gather the researchers working on the hottest topics related to existing or future generations of Wi-Fi. We expect papers studying existing or promising solutions fruitful for Wi-Fi networks by means of mathematical modeling, simulation or testbeds.

Papers should not currently be under review by any other journal, magazine or conference and can be either 5-page full papers or 2-page extended abstracts. Accepted full papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted for publication in IEEExplore.

To submit a paper to the Special Session on Future Wi-Fi, follow the EDAS submission link given here.
